Who are we, and what are we about?
Cloud Forest Adventure is a family enterprise from one of Ecuador's least known and most beautiful areas, Intag. We provide sustainable alternative sources of income for ourselves and for local people, by offering first rate eco-tourist experiences for visitors. Our aim is to conserve the natural beauty of Intag.
The touristic experiences that we offer are designed to avoid some of the cliches of eco-tourist travel so we can provide a genuine insight into the natural wonders of Ecuador, while also addressing the urgent environmental issues that confront Latin America, and the planet as a whole. Please click on the menu heading "Philosopy" if you'd like to read a bit more about our vision.
Cloud Forest Adventure is led by Ned Cresswell ("Eduardo"), a UK Biology graduate and resident of Ecuador, and by his wife Patricia Rodriguez, a local resident all her life. For the last two years they have closed the farm in San Antonio to visitors, and now work closely with Janet Narum and her sons Kevin and Kirk, who run the río Lindo tourist cabins. Ned is parish president, based in the small town of Cuellaje, and dedicated to strengthen tourism and agriculture, as alternatives to the metal mining projects proposed by the mining corporations.
